Go bank

To preserve the Indian breed of cows and spread awareness about rearing the cow, Siddhagiri Math started Go-bank. A bank for the protection of the cows. Siddhagiri Go Bank has come into effect with this programme, would take care of stray and abandoned cows under the aegis of the Siddhagiri math by preventing them from being sent to slaughterhouses.

In Go-bank concept, people donate Indian old age cows, unwanted cows, cows crippled due to diseases are adopted and those Indian cows are served at Siddhagiri goshala. On the other hand, one needs a cow at home for rearing then Siddhagiri Goshala gives a cow to that person on a conditional basis. The condition is that whenever the given cow begets another calf which is again a cow should be returned to Siddhagiri goshala as a form of interest. This project has been able to reduce a trend of sending cows to slaughter house
